Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Introduction

Safety For Generations (“SFG”, “we”, “us”) operates the G Band NFC safety wristband and the PASS (Personal Artificial Safety System) platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information about you and your family.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Phone number (verified via SMS), email address.

Child Profile Information: First name, age/age range, medical conditions, allergies, blood type, emergency contact numbers. You choose exactly what to include.

Scan Data: When a G Band is scanned, we may log the time of the scan for notification purposes.

Device Information: We do not collect device IDs, location data, or browsing history from scanners.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information solely to operate the G Band service: displaying emergency information when a band is scanned, sending scan notifications to guardians, and managing your PASS account. We do not use personal information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect children's information only with verifiable parental consent (phone verification). Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time via the PASS dashboard. We do not collect more information than necessary for the safety service.

5. Data Security

All personal data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM at the field level. Band URLs use HMAC signatures to prevent unauthorized access. Data is stored on encrypted servers with restricted access controls.

6. Data Sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances: (a) when a band is scanned, the information you chose to display is shown to the scanner; (b) with service providers who help us operate the platform (SMS delivery, hosting); (c) when required by law. We never sell personal information.

7. Your Rights

You may access, modify, or delete your information at any time through the PASS dashboard. You may deactivate a band instantly, preventing any information from being displayed when scanned. To delete your account entirely, contact support@safetyforgenerations.com.
